A Rare Pleasure – The Greatest Showman

I don’t usually get hyped by a movie in the way that I have of The Greatest Showman, but blow me down it was a brilliant film.

Expertly writted and beautifully filmed, it really was a rare pleasure to watch. I don’t think I have had such a sense of wonder when watching a film since the days of Baz Luhrmann’s Romeo and Juliet. I remember seeing that film and it became a slight obsession the idea of bringing Shakespeare into the 21st century was truly a brilliant idea.

Back to The Greatest Showman, P.T. Barnum was obviously a great businessman someone to clearly admire and to create a movie based on his life in this way seems very fitting, the film was grand, had endless entertainment value and was just a visually stunning film.

The Trailer

The Soundtrack

I really can’t fault the sound track it’s a brilliant spectacle of talent, clever writting and fits the film so well. Hugh Jackman can sing as well which I think few pople realised but yeah he is a bad ass!

Anyway I loved the film! Check it out!

About PeeWeeToms

So what's the story? Well in 2015 I was diagnosed with a Sarcomatoid Carcinoma. To say the least it was aweful, I have managed to get through three years now with it coming back with vengance 4 times. On the 29th December 2017 I found it had likely spread. This is my dialogue with myself.
